Idiomo Direction
At Idiomo Canada, our social and environmental action follows our responsibilities
Idiomo Canada was born with social and environmental responsibility embedded in our DNA when it comes to making business decisions. We embrace a weave of elements in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) to lead our social and environmental action.
Idiomo Social and Environmental Initiatives
Social

- Empowering Women
- Equal Compensation
- No discrimination, no bias
- Immigrant Integration
Diversity Action
Our hiring practices advocate for a diverse workforce. Idiomo Canada can reach a wide spectrum of students as we embrace differences in race, ethnicity, sex, gender orientation, age and socioeconomic class.
More than 50% of our work force in positions of responsibility is composed of women. Our work force has significant representation of all races and ethnicities with no clear majority of either group.
Equity
Equality of opportunity and equality of compensation has driven the growth of Idiomo Canada since our inception. As a result, we have a management team that has grown from the bottom up.
In our hiring process we don’t ask for unnecessary academic credentials and instead focus on drive and talent.
Inclusion Action
In our hiring processes we don’t ask, track or register our staff gender orientation, ethnicity, religion, political opinions, or their age. That way we prevent any biases in our hiring processes.
Our work from home environment encourages candidates that otherwise would have to endure significant hurdles to join our team. Women caring for their home, people with difficult access to transportation, people with mobility challenges.
We provide our staff with a working environment where ideas and innovation are encouraged.
Philanthropic Responsibility
Idiomo Canada participates in activities that support newcomers to Canada in their quest to become integrated into the Canadian society.
Many newcomers, specially refugees, need to improve their language skills to be able to find work in Canada. Through non-profit and government institutions Idiomo Canada subsidizes English study programs for the most economically challenged.
Environmental

- 100% Work from Home
- Zero Waste
- Zero Buildings
- Promotion of Environmental Values
Energy
All our staff works from home and use online tools for internal meetings and for meetings with our clients. Idiomo Canada is proof that 100% remote work is possible with the correct implementation.
By not having a building to power, we optimize the use of utility resources while reducing the footprint generated by office buildings.
Pollution and Greenhouse Gases
Our Greenhouse gas emissions are limited by those produced by home energy providers, for which Idiomo Canada does not have control over. By working from home we also reduce to zero the amount of waste that traditionally results from office work. Idiomo Canada doesn’t send printed material of any kind, and all deliverables and transmittals are electronic.
Encroachment on Nature
This is one of the results from growth in urban area. Our no need for parking space, office space, and space for other facilities such as eating areas is a significant contribution to reducing the impact of urban development on nature.
Environmental Education
Although Idiomo Canada is a languages school, we pride ourselves of including in our English lessons topics and discussions related to environmental issues, and how to better protect our environment.
